Seoul Milk NongHyup Bank, Suyu Branch — Branch acoustics, refined by PET linear baffles
The newly remodeled, open-plan banking hall of Seoul Milk NongHyup Bank’s Suyu branch in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. Recycled-PET linear baffles and wave-form sound-absorbing elements on the ceiling cut reflected noise, creating an acoustic environment where counter consultations flow smoothly.

A Branch Where Consultations Come Through Clearly
The Seoul Milk Nonghyup Suyu Branch was newly fitted out as a premium open-plan retail banking space. However, the open ceiling typical of this layout allows sound to bounce off hard finishes and linger — making it difficult for staff and customers to hold clear conversations at the service counter.
To reduce this reflected sound, we applied recycled PET linear baffles to the ceiling. The baffles absorb sound, settling the reverberation throughout the branch so that counter consultations flow much more clearly and smoothly.
Acoustic Finishing That Complements the Interior
A silver finish was selected for the linear baffles, wrapping the ceiling volume in a soft, neutral tone. The treatment resolves the noise issue without clashing with the existing interior palette, adding a quiet and composed impression rather than disrupting the atmosphere.
In the open ceiling zone, standard linear baffles were combined with wave-form absorptive elements to enhance both visual depth and acoustic performance simultaneously. The PET linear baffles are made from recycled PET plastic, making them environmentally responsible. They are fixed securely using our in-house developed mounting hardware, which resists warping and remains stable even under airflow from HVAC equipment.
