Brief

A meeting room finished in exposed concrete and glass partitions has hard surfaces where speech echoes easily. The challenge was to keep the texture of these finishes while creating a calm acoustic setting suited to meetings.

The room needed added sound-absorbing area on the ceiling without hiding the services and lighting. Floating PET panels as a cloud above the conference table secured that absorbing surface while preserving the openness of the exposed ceiling.

Tornex supplied the light-grey PET 2D panel. (주)다인에스앤디 designed and installed the panels — V-cut into a striped relief — and suspended them as a ceiling cloud, settling both the acoustics and the look of the meeting room.
