L’Oréal Korea — A sound-absorbing ceiling finished in PET linear baffles
At the office ceiling of beauty company L’Oréal Korea, Tornex applied linear baffles made from recycled PET. Warm wood-toned fins run in parallel rows, expanding the absorptive area while giving the space a calm, refined texture.

L'Oréal Korea is a beauty company providing specialized services for the diverse beauty needs of women and men worldwide. In keeping with the identity of a beauty-centered organization, they selected Tornex PET Linear Baffles as the ceiling finish material.
PET Linear Baffles are sound-absorbing panels made from recycled PET plastic. Warm wood-tone fins hang in rows from the ceiling, extending the absorptive surface area along the grain of light and shadow they create. Colors can be selected from the palette of more than 46 options that have passed Korea's domestic flame-retardant certification.
Design and dimensions can be specified to order, allowing the space to retain its intended atmosphere and palette exactly. Despite being a resilient material, the panels remain warp-free thanks to Tornex's proprietary mounting hardware and are unaffected by vibration from HVAC equipment.
Wood-toned material and warm beige coloring suited to the sensibility of a beauty industry leader add a psychologically comfortable and settled impression to the space. With Tornex's sound-absorbing panels installed, the ceiling finish achieves both design and acoustic performance in a single solution.
