Privacy Policy

Tornex Co., Ltd. ("the Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and related laws of the Republic of Korea, and respects the privacy and rights of data subjects. As a B2B supplier engaged in architectural acoustic consulting and the supply and fabrication of sound-absorbing and sound-insulating materials, the Company collects and uses only the minimum personal data necessary to handle project inquiries, quotations, and sample requests. This policy explains what personal data the Company processes, for what purposes, and how it is protected.

1. Personal Data Collected and Methods of Collection

The Company collects the following personal data. It does not collect sensitive data such as health, beliefs, or ideology.

  • Project inquiry, quotation, or sample request (required): company/organization name, contact person’s name, email, phone number
  • Project inquiry (optional): job title, and information included in the inquiry such as site location, intended use, and area
  • Newsletter or material subscription (with consent): email
  • Automatically collected: access IP, cookies, service usage records, browser and device information

Methods: website inquiry forms, email, telephone, and automated collection tools.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

  • Responding to inquiries and quotations, dispatching material samples, and discussing project specifications
  • Conclusion and performance of contracts, supply and fabrication of materials, and after-sales support
  • Information on new services, products, and events (only for those who have consented)
  • Service improvement, usage statistics, and prevention of misuse

3. Retention and Use Period

The Company destroys personal data without delay once the purpose of collection is fulfilled. However, where retention is required by relevant laws, the data is kept for the period prescribed.

4. Provision to Third Parties

The Company does not use personal data beyond the scope stated in this policy or provide it to third parties. Exceptions apply only where the data subject has given prior consent or where required by law.

5. Consignment of Personal Data Processing

For smooth operations, the Company may consign certain tasks as below, and supervises consignees to handle personal data securely in accordance with the law.

  • Delivery of samples and materials: courier and logistics providers (name, contact, and address needed for delivery)
  • Email/SMS dispatch and infrastructure: cloud and messaging service providers

6. Rights of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them

Data subjects may at any time request access to, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of their personal data. Such requests may be made to the Data Protection Officer below in writing, by email, or by phone, and the Company will act without delay.

7. Procedures and Methods of Destruction

Personal data is destroyed without delay once the retention period expires or the purpose is fulfilled. Electronic files are permanently deleted by irreversible means, and printed materials are shredded or incinerated.

8. Operation of Cookies and Automated Collection

The Company may use cookies for convenience and statistical analysis. Data subjects may refuse or delete cookies via browser settings, though some services may then be limited.

9. Measures to Ensure Security

The Company implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including access control and authorization management, encryption of data in transit, retention of access logs, and training of personnel handling personal data.
