LG Innotech — PET linear baffles that tame the meeting room ceiling

Tornex PET linear baffles were installed as ceiling acoustic treatment in the meeting rooms at the LG Innotek headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. PET linear baffles are manufactured from recycled PET plastic, combining sound absorption with sustainability, and are available in more than 46 domestically flame-retardant-certified color options.

While sound absorption to control room reverberation is the core function, the visually appealing and soft color tones elevate the quality of the meeting space. We installed the baffles using in-house-developed hardware so that, despite the flexible material, there is no warping, and movement caused by HVAC airflow is not an issue.

Manufactured entirely from eco-friendly materials, the product minimizes its environmental footprint. Meeting room users gain a quieter, improved environment that raises communication efficiency.

Tornex distributes and manufactures indoor acoustic solutions and eco-friendly materials; for this project we supplied the PET linear baffle material. It is a case study in how PET acoustic material can be applied to a meeting space where design coherence and acoustic performance are required in equal measure.
