CMIC Korea's office at Yeoksam I-Tower is laid out as a floor of meeting spaces large and small. In rooms ordered by white walls and glass partitions, the flooring became a key element shaping the overall mood. The space was designed and installed by ePlanning, and Tornex supplied the KNIT carpet tile used on the meeting room floors.
A meeting space is where focus and conversation meet, so it needed a floor that stays calm without feeling heavy. The grey KNIT carpet tile, with a surface resembling a knit weave, was chosen for exactly that. Its subtle texture pairs with the white finishes for a composed yet never monotonous impression.
KNIT is a 457.2×914.4 plank carpet tile; laying it in alternating directions makes the weave read differently, so a single product can give each room its own character. Carpet tile is easy to replace in sections and to maintain, and it absorbs footstep noise to reduce the everyday sound that arises during meetings.
From the small meeting room to the boardroom, the same KNIT carpet tile gives the whole floor a consistent flooring language. CMIC Korea's meeting spaces gained a focused environment where white furniture and displays stand out crisply against the calm grey floor.
