Saint Johns Hotel — Premium carpet tile for a Gangneung hotel ballroom
Milliken premium carpet tile was installed in the grand ballroom of Saint Johns Hotel in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. Tornex supplied and installed it, completing a hotel floor that pairs refined design with room acoustics.
Saint Johns Hotel in Gangneung, Gangwon Province is a mixed-use cultural space set where a dense black-pine forest meets the East Sea. Premium carpet tile was applied to the grand ballroom floor of this hotel, which offers a range of lodging, banquet, and leisure facilities, supplied and installed by Tornex.
The Milliken Lapidus and Nordic Stories collections used at the time carry patterns inspired by the landscapes and cultures of the northern hemisphere. Their rich combinations added vitality to the scale of the ballroom, completing an atmosphere of refinement.
Carpet tile absorbs the footstep noise and room reverberation of a large ballroom, providing a quiet and comfortable environment. The cushion backing also minimizes walking fatigue and furniture-movement noise. Tornex proposes floor sound-absorption solutions suited to hotel spaces.
