Korea University — A lecture hall tuned with wood-wool and PET 3D panels
At Korea University's Science & Technology Building 2 on the Sejong campus, Tornex applied eco-friendly wood-wool boards and PET 3D panels to the lecture hall — cutting reverberation for clearer communication and quieter rest.

Korea University is committed to sustainable development and preparing for the future as a creative, innovation-driven institution. Building 2 of the Science and Technology Hall on the Sejong Campus serves as a gathering point for discussion and rest, making a calm, controlled acoustic environment a clear requirement.
We supplied wood wool board and PET 3D panels — both eco-friendly absorptive materials — applied in combination. The treatment reduced wall-surface reverberation in the lecture building so that speech is conveyed clearly, while quiet rest is possible between classes.
The wood wool board V-pattern panel fills the front wall of each lecture room in colour blocks, resolving absorption performance and interior design in a single surface. The characteristic wood-fibre texture and a service life of approximately 50 years make it well suited as a finish material for educational facilities. The PET 3D panel is a three-dimensional panel made from recycled PET that creates a textured absorption surface along the lecture-building walls, available in 132 colours to match the space's colour palette.
Building 2 of the Science and Technology Hall has been shaped into an acoustic environment that supports clear communication and quiet rest for students alike.
