Junglim Architecture — The carpet the architects chose for their own office
Junglim Architecture, one of Korea's leading architecture firms, specified patterned carpet tile for the office floors of its own headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. Tornex supplied and installed it, completing a floor that pairs refined design with underfoot acoustics.

Junglim Architecture is a leading architecture firm that has long shaped architectural design in Korea. Valuing sound principles and trust, Junglim chose premium carpet tile with a refined pattern as the flooring for the office areas of its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, supplied and installed by Tornex.
The floor of a workspace must balance calm and sophistication, conveying an orderly atmosphere to staff and visitors alike. The Milliken Building Blocks C collection used at the time creates a fresh expression in each space through its varied patterns and color combinations, completing an architecture firm's design sensibility from the floor up.
Carpet tile absorbs the noise of footsteps and chair movement, reducing the reverberation and footstep sound of an open workspace. Its cushion backing eases walking fatigue and lets wheeled furniture move smoothly, making it well suited to open-plan offices. As a company working with interior acoustics and eco-friendly materials, Tornex proposes flooring that considers design and sound absorption together.
Tornex now supplies ANKER carpet in Korea in place of Milliken. The character of the patterned carpet tile that Junglim chose carries over to ANKER's BLOCK and HABITAT RHOMB collections. Both offer the refined patterns and calm colors suited to a workspace, so an office of the same character can still be realized today.
